History

About 170 years ago, we started from cotton spinning as a family business in Yamatotakada City, Nara Prefecture, where the Kansai Chemicals Group headquarters is located. Currently, we are growing toward the future in the field of synthetic resin raw materials so as not to be ashamed of its history.

Founded cotton spinning business by Yahei Shino (the founder)
1924
Renamed as “Kansai Sen-i Kosho (Kansai Textile Military Factory)” by Yajuro Shino
1943February
Reorganized into “Kansai Sen-i Kosho Co., Ltd. (Kansai Textile Military Factory Co., Ltd.)” by Yaichiro Shino
1967April
“Kansai Chemicals” was established by Yajuro Shino (Ⅱ) as a cooperating Factory of Sekisui Blow Molding Industry Co., Ltd. (currently Sekisui Molding Industry Co., Ltd.)
1972
Started processing and sales of recycled materials

Started handling polyolefin and polystyrene resins

Started handling engineering plastics

Established “Kansai Chemicals Co., Ltd.” and assumed the post of current president Kazuya Shino. The predecessor “Kansai Chemicals” continues as a manufacturing department.
